Here’s a vintage 1980 running shoe ad for the New Balance 620 model sneakers which weighed in at 229 grams. According to RunRepeat “Any shoe that’s available on the market and weighs less than 250 grams (8.8 oz) in a men’s US size 9 makes it” a lightweight running shoe.
