Sneaker Freaker did a great writeup a couple of years back on the history of Pro-Keds. Pro-Keds dates back to 1949 and according to the story our favorite Boogie Down Bronx rapper KRS-One once proclaimed PRO-Keds to be ‘the greatest sneaker ever introduced to mankind!’ Well if they're good enough for KRS-One then they are good enough for The Deffest vintage sneaker blog.
These are some old school Pro-Keds vintage runner sneakers from the late 70s / early 80s. They come donning the old Pro-Keds double check mark logo, sawtooth sneaker sole that was popular back in the day and in the red, white and blue Evel Knievel colorway.
