I've been posting a ton of ads lately so I figured I should get back to mixing in some old school kicks. Today's post is for some old time "Marathon brand" rare vintage suede-on-suede runners.
Not to be confused with LA hip hop legend Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing these obscure vintage sneakers are likely late 70s / early 80s and made in China. The side profile logo is along the lines of some of the old Osaga kicks and when they say 'For extended wear' I don't think they mean 30-40 years because the rubber on these is pretty brittle and turned a weird color yellow. Flipkart currently has a line of shoes called 'Marathon' but I'm not sure if they're related to these. If I hunt down more info on this brand I will update this post.
