Unearthed for today’s post are these vintage deadstock C.R. Anthony’s Fast Bak sneakers. C.R. Anthony's was clothing store originally based out of Oklahoma City and eventually expanded to several other western states. The stores fell on hard times, re-branded as “Stage” and closed a couple of decades ago.
These awesome Fast Bak branded sneakers were part of their in-house athletic shoe brand and have the signature Fast Bak double chevron profile logo. The sneaker design was lifted right from a pair of old Tiger Corsair / Nike Cortez, bearing all of the hallmarks of those shoes including the white, red, and blue colorway details. If Corsair and Cortez sneakers were brothers then these sneakers are like the strange but cool cousin.
